Graduation Day
Today was the day that I moved on in life,
New chapter was written in my story,
It was graduation day,
The day where I left somewhere special in my life.
I got in line and ready to step out in the gym,
Where happy parents would see their kids,
achieve something they worked hard for,
We took our seats and teachers said their speeches.
Many broke in tears to see us let go,
We lined up again to get our diplomas,
When they called my name I saw my life flash in an instant,
I remember 7 years ago when I first entered this gym.
I was completely new and didn’t know what I was going to do,
After calling our names it was was time to celebrate,
We threw up our caps and all yelled with joy,
But that all came down when we all left the gym.
Many of my friends were all in tears,
I felt their pain for it was something I couldn’t bear,
After that I walked out and said goodbye to everyone,
And then went outside and looked at the school,
Saying “thanks for the moments here old pal, see you another time”.
