Version 2.0
Catch me as I stumble
But watch me as I fall
Gracefully, I tumble
Behind me a brick wall
Say that you’ll save me
Reach out as I slip
Deep, I drown under
Into the dark abyss
Tell me you love me
Hold me tight
But as soon as the battle begins
Disappear into the night
Shame me for my trouble
Trace the outline of my fate
Convince me my problems
Hold little weight
Apologies you express
Mean nothing anymore
The anger you draw out of me
Burns me to the core
So I leave you behind
Like the skin I shed
A former body
Which now lies dead
