Visiting
We pull into the driveway
Excited as can be
Its been two years
And we can’t wait to see
Up the creaky wooden stairs
Through the rough rusted door
An apple pie baking
And the smell starts to soar
As we pass through the hallway
A familiar voice makes it clear
That our shoes be taken off
And we adhere
We start once again
And a noise draws near
The sound of old game shows
As she appears
A smile grows on her face
And tears began falling
She’s as joyous can be
Because her grandsons are coming
