Down, Down, Down

Blue and a flash
of green
you finally realize your
life's nothing but a dream.
Flying high like a sparrow
wishing to dive
Down
to make
time go a little slower
but you've rushed through life
with your head
Down
ignoring all around.
But now you struggle
just to get around
pain and sorrow
fills your ever-fading mind.
You realize its
your time to die
Down
you go
to the darkness
and arise
everlasting light.
