A WINTER'S SIGHT
As I sit on the bench
in the chilly glass hallway
I can hear the loud, shaky, whirring
of the vent.
As I look out the window
I can see snow covering
the ground.
I can see blue benches
blanketed in snow.
I see trees, chilly,
covered in snow with no leaves.
just skinny, bare, twigs and branches.
As I look out the window
I see a tall, assured flag pole.
The flag is blowing in
the slight cold breeze.
