HIM
I sit on this bench,
All by myself.
Just me and nature.
I see the trees swing,
And hear the birds sing sweet songs.
It’s so tranquil.
The wildlife moving around.
It’s so beautiful.
The light peeking through the trees,
Like a groundhog looking for its shadow.
It’s so quiet.
No cars or chatter to be heard.
It’s so pure.
Not tainted by “the man” YET.
The best part of my life,
Just sitting here on this bench.
