Time Never Stops
I close my eyes for what seemed a minute
But was actually ten
Time grabbed my hand and dragged me along
He knew nothing about the moments that life has shown
All he knows is to continue forward with haste
Watching life go by at a fast pace
He waits for no one
He keeps running through life and death
And does not stop to wonder what comes next
For a moment I paused to see that time has flown by in a breeze
Wishing that life would freeze
He has forever but we do not
Time knows we want more of him
So he walks just a little faster
Jumping through our day as if nothing matters
Time has just a little anger
Because we treat him as a waste
He conceals his feelings
And ends the life race
