Here lies a girl

who was cast aside by society

beaten and tortured

until there was nothing left of her

except broken dreams and shattered wishes.

Here lies a girl

who was made to grow up too quickly.

a once vibrant and colorful child

forced into what society wished for her

Became nothing but a phantom of who she used to be.

Here lies a girl

denounced and undone

by the words that society cast upon her

that she meant nothing, that she was useless

that her life would remain meaningless.

Here lies a girl

who yearned for more time to live

to learn, to love, to grow

yet instead was stuck with a tiny piece of my life

that was boring and insignificant, or so i was told.

Here lies a girl

although she has passed on

she stays with me always

the death of my creativity still haunts my soul,

for better or for worse, perhaps I will never know.
