Dear stranger
We always knew what to say to each other when we were angry,
Sad,
or even happy.
We always knew what could excite or even calm one another.
I remember staying up every night till three am waiting up for you to come home.
We’ve seen each other cry,
laugh,
worry,
We even got in trouble together.
All the ups and downs we’ve been through together,
and you still decided to leave.
You left me,
you left Martha,
you left Mr,
you even left mommy.
You left us out of nowhere,
in shock and in tears.
You left without saying goodbye all because of her.
Her, the one who broke your heart countless times.
Her, the one who stole from you.
Her, the one who left you broke and homeless.
We were there for you through it all until...
the day you lost us all,
the day you came back home with her.
You were acting different,
more aggressive.
You came just as fast as you left.
You left mommy in the dark crying all alone.
You left her telling herself she wasn't good enough to be a mother.
You left her saying she wasn't good enough to even be here.
That's the day you lost the privilege to call me your sister.
That's the day you lost your family.
And now,
two years later,
Martha’s back home and you want to be to.
But it is too late to heal the wounds you left so long ago.
