Day Dreaming
The bell has rung.
Tweens fill the hallways,
Herding like mindless sheep out of the narrow opening.
But as the light shows through the thick pane of glass,
She watches over the landscape.
As if it were filled entirely with rock candy mountains and sugar-filled streams.
In a trance, her eyes begin to come back into focus.
Focusing on those who are taking her attention away from the cotton candy skies.
The one below looks up, to see the curiosity.
Her face blushes, as she hooks her backpack tighter around her shoulder.
For they both do not know what the foreseeable future as to hold.
Until next time.
