Just Say It
Just say the “I’m sorry”-s
And “I love you so much.”
When you don’t
It hurts like a punch to the chest.
Just say, “let me know if you got home safely.”
Just ask me how my day was
Or tell me I look pretty
Please, just tell me about how much you love the way I love you.
I’m begging you.
I want to forgive you
Like a priest does a sinner.
But in reality, all of this is unsaid
And will stay that way
until we can love again.
