No, I'm Not Always Sad
Only when I think no one loves me
Only when no one talks to me
I can change, I just don’t want to
Even when they want me to
We used to be best friends, now strangers
Used to be family, now foe
I wish everything was normal, but it can’t be
Normality takes time, which we don’t have
‘Just get over it’ they tell me
I wish it was that easy
These memories I hold and remember
They just won’t leave me
Depression consumes me
Like a dark, empty space with nowhere to go
I want to run from it, to fight it
But it takes more than love to cure me
Only when I think no one loves me
Only when no one talks to me
I can change, I just don’t want to
Even when they want me to
‘Don’t save those who don’t want to be saved’ they say
Deep down everyone wants to be saved
It takes courage to admit you’re wrong,
It takes strength to admit you’re scared
