Softly closing my eyes,

feeling the light breeze as if

someone was blowing me a kiss.

Along with feeling beautiful and untouchable

because of the tan complexion building on my skin.

What a wonderful feeling it is,

to feel as free as a dog without a leash.

Winding down after a long day under the sun

with my only worry being

how fast my ice cream melts.

Being able to swim in the ocean

at any time of day,

and feel like it is an entirely new world.

Admiring all of the different creatures I see because

they are art.

As am I,

as is everything.

Loving life more than I ever have

knowing that there is so much more to explore.

Only lasting a few months,

yet creating lifelong memories.

Summer feels like home.
