The Music's Influence

The music flows like Pacific waves.
In and out, through and through.
As each note passes by
A ping of happiness surges
Throughout me.
The music is a life raft.
It envelops me with warmth.
My ears are pleasured
With the sound of the
Rhythmic melody.
The string instrument
changes positions
At various speeds;
With the help from
The hands of a musician.
The audience is as silent
as a starless night sky.
Echoing from the stage
ripples through the concert hall.
The lullaby makes my soul swoon.
Suddenly,
a baby wails,
Pulling me back
to the dull normalcy
Of the earth.
