drowning
i dip my foot into the water
just to test it out
suddenly
i fall in
i dont have the energy to swim back to the surface
i begin to sink
Deeper
Deeper
Deeper
i scream for help
anyone
anyone
anyone
no one comes
i see people at the surface
friends family teachers
laughing and having fun
but i’m still here
forgotten
and
drowning
drowning
drowning

I have been through depression. This poem can not only relate to depression directly, but even just that depressedor anxious feeling. I truly hope that this poem might open eyes and help find light in what seems like darkness.
