Broken Link

Rusty red
Chain link fence
Broken,
But bridled no more
Opaque azure
Spills through
Holes where tension built
And screamed open
This chain link fence.

There's a sunrise
Between
The perpetual sunsets
There was no bludgeoning,
Neither
Some otherworldly beckoning.
Dragonflies of yonder
Make haven
In the metal jutting out
Grotesque,broken
Lest it is a monotony well-kempt.

It's a dichotomy
Being shiny
Being naught
But on a rainy day
Of dripping silver
I'd be the hole
Raindrops won't cling to
I'll be the broken link
You climb in through.
