Those safe, dark blue eyes,
Looking back at fire set ablaze.
The aftershocks of earthquakes
Dare quiver in your gaze yet,
They pass.
I see a tear welting
Past your pupils event horizon,
But like lightning it sparks your mind
Into action:
Sobering reflection,
And your shade grows darker yet--
