I Wonder at a Purple Sky

Crowns of trees
brush
a purple-colored sky.
I stare in wonder
at it’s dusky,
cloudy curtain.
Night and day
cannot agree
behind that blanket.
Neither can I.
But by and by,
I wonder
at a purple sky.
