It feels like forever on this road
Fasten down by the weight of this burden
My head is everywhere
It won’t stop
Not for a single moment
It’s nights like this I wish I could surrender
My brain is complete with all these thoughts and memories
The burden isn’t gone; will it ever be?
Now I will have to protect myself
From up beat to bitter it took one night
To be happy is the goal
The reason each day I put on a smile
I wish I could trick my brain
I wish it would pick it up
For a little while.
