Rain
Countryside of warmth and sun,
no fairer scene by far.
So light the day! So dark the night!
On my tongue land shooting stars.
But one day, Heaven’s gates burst,
down floods water rare;
after weeks of waiting,
days of hoping,
I finally wash my hair.
