“Not for Me”
For some reason, this was not death,
Despite the giant scythe on his shoulder,
He wasn’t what I had in mine when I thought about what he would look like.
Maybe that was the problem; I worried too much about what he would look like,
And not on when he would come.
So when I saw him on the side of the road, I didn't recognize him.
Judging that he didn't recognize me, I realized he wasn't there for me.
But since that day, ive been deathly afraid of people who carry giant scythes on their shoulders.
