Missing Girl
Please alert the authorities.
For a girl has gone missing.
She had deep, brown eyes with golden specs that shone through in the sunlight.
They held so much passion and hope.
She had hair that cascaded upon her shoulders in tight, bouncy curls.
Each lock was filled with happiness and a craving for adventure.
She alwasy wore a smile, so bright and wide.
Each tooth showcased her unapolegitic pride.
Her hands were small and gentle, yet strong and sturdy.
Each one held on to every promise she was given; desperately trying to keep them from falling to the ground.
But someone has taken it all away.
Deep circles have fallen beneath her dark eyes that were once filled with so much.
But someone took everything out of those eyes.
Now all they hold is pain and fear.
They are unrecognizable, changed beyond belief.
One giant, messy knot has placed itself upon her head.
The beautiful, brown curls will never be the same.
Someone stole the energy that made them fall just right.
A flat line pulled together with cracked lips was placed crooked, beneath her nose.
Someone plucked out every tooth from her once shining smile.
Now, there's nothing to smile about anymore.
Her hands are empty, soft, and shaking.
They are shoved deep into pockets in order to hide their uselessness and vulnerability.
Someone shattered all the promises she once held on to, and she was left with nothing.
Someone took this girl away.
They took away everything she was and everything she wanted to be.
Someone took this girl away.
This girl I used to know.
Someone took this girl away.
A Girl I used to be.
And now,
The only thing that girl will ever be,
is missing.
At least,
that's all she is to me.
