The day we met,

These eyes of mine could not move

The cheeks on my face dye itself in ruby.

Turning a deep bright red.

We had talked for hours

Weeks we had discussed,

Whistling in the air, is love itself.

Wandering lovers, happy and joyous.

Looking down, bumps and holes could be seen

Leading us away down the happy yellow trial

Lovers fall in one neither steep nor deep.

Lost the two were, especially the strongest.

There he was, sitting, sitting still,

The darkness flowed, consuming our breathes.

The darkness blocked your ears from hearing my voice.

The darkness avoid my hand who reached to you.

“It’s fine, I am okay, just leave me be”, you say

I could the whispers of sadness within

I sit now with you,

I sit with you, forever here and now.

The author's comments:

I was dealing with some issues with my current lover. They had decided to go offline for some time, and I had gotten to worried because things were going amazing until about a month or two passed. We are doing better now! I felt this poem was to vent about how I truly felt about the situation.
