I was a wildflower before you entered my garden

I let the wind touch my petals

As I danced under the sky with others flowers

but as soon as you stepped upon the green grass that led to my garden

The wind stopped and the flowers didn’t dance

To me you looked like a god

everything i ever wanted was what you believed me to think you were

So I let you cut off my stem and take me from the ground into your world

your reality

for a while you gave me what i always desired, love, affection, you fed me words that i thought were only meant for me.

But then one day it all changed

you stopped caring, I was dehydrated from the lack of love you gave me, the words soon turned into bee stings and the sun went away. My petals no longer felt the warmth it did before.

Was i not pretty enough?

Did i not satisfy what you longed for in flower.

My petals wilted from the cold

The sun hid behind the rain clouds and the tears from my sorrow filled

The pot you put me in.

Then you brought other flowers around

Flowers that you grew more fond of

That’s when I broke

My petals began to fall

You stopped noticing me

Then one day you came back

And i felt the warmth once more

Something I didn’t know I longer for so deeply

but that warmth didn’t last long

You kicked me out of your reality

As I could not go back to my garden

I laid where you left me to parish

Leaving me with only the dirt you planted me in

My petals are gone now

I am nothing but a stem
