I awaken upon this cold and cloudy morning sky.

Teeth clattering against each other,

As I feel my body becoming numb,

After hours of being outside in the freezing cold weather.

No one to talk to.

No one to embrace.

I was left all alone.

I was beginning to forget.

About the past whenever I was warm,

Happy,

Relaxed,

And enjoying life.

After all these years passed,

I realized that this world isn't great.

It isn't how I saw it in the perspective of six-year-old me.

I realized that we must work,

To get higher in society.

But that's just so we can survive.

If I lose hope,

I'll lose everything.

Maybe even my own life.
