Till Death Do Us Part
Saltwater pooled at his feet
He stared at his ghost of a wife
The putrid smell of death lingered in the air
He knew he could no longer play god
Technology was dragging her body through stones
She was in pain
He stroked her withering arm with gentle hands
Placing a tender kiss on her head for the last time
He motioned for the doctor to end it all
And the flatline rang for his wife
He answered its call the next day
