Lying
Lying should go to a track meet
And walk among all the athletes
He should see them sprinting around the track at top speed
Lying would witness hard work from years of practice
He could watch as the athletes gave it all they had.
He should sit and watch the hurdlers race around the track
He should watch them self-report their times to the coach
But of course, lying wouldn’t report the right score.
He would say he got first even if he didn’t.
He would say he ran 4 laps when he really ran 3.
The teammates cheering each other on would show
Lying how telling the truth creates closer bonds.
Lying wouldn’t do too well
And would end up disqualified
