Oranges
Love is like oranges.
Oranges peel and leave open a vulnerable fruit ready to be eaten.
They take away your ego, your insecurities, your protection.
Everything you thought you knew goes out the window when you get into it.
You don’t show what you have when sitting in a pew with your head bowed asking for forgiveness.
You don’t love it until it’s gone.
You don’t appreciate it until you miss it.
But even then you purely move onto another.
Unless you’re me of course, then love will kill you
