Trees contort over
The river
Dark sand and running water
Walking under rustling leaves
I escape reality
And enter paradise
It is safe and peaceful
Isolated
But not lonely
I dance with
The trees
Blowing in the wind
Humming the harmonies
Of the birds
And rushing water
Serene crystal currents
Washing the golden leaves
Away from the sand
I sit on the shore
Eyes closed
Dreaming
Dreaming of somewhere better
But now
I dream of the river
