For the Sake of Others
I give up my opinions
It never seems right
But I do it for my friends;
it make their smiles bright
I pass out my food
they eat it with a smile
I guess it's fine doing that
It's fine for a while
I ignore what I want
They'd want it more.
I give it to them,
But my heart feels sore
Even if we fight
I keep coming back
Like a hunting dog
Blindly following a track
They never ask me
If I'm fine
but on a scale from one to ten
I'm a nine
I guess they never needed to;
who cares about a filler friend?
I always feel like they wouldn't care
if my life would end
I toss away my heart
and lock it up in a box
I give it to them
but they keep it locked
I'll try to ignore it
I won't be a bother
I'll store my feelings away
For the sake of others

I mean, almost everyone feels this way. I just thought I'd vent out in the form of a poem.
