The waves crashed across the sand, and I knew this was where my story ended. My frail bones rattled like the shells tossed onto shore. Each breeze was a stab of cold, chilling me to the bone. I cast one more glance at the blinding sun that showed no compassion. This was the world as I know it. But now it is time. And this world will now only be but a distant memory. Lost in the waves of my mind.
