Looks like one of us is going to jail
You looked at me,
eyes wide like the moon,
sweat dripping down your face.
You run your fingers through your hair,
our bodies tired.
We gaze at each other,
then at the dead body in front of us.
On a chilly night in the deep woods,
I say,
“Looks like one of us is going to jail tonight”.
