A capable man, a gray mark proving his wisdom

above pink lips, took me to what was his-

those lovely, maddening, brown eyes,

and there, I wondered,

what are my eyes if they’re not on you?

Every movement you make tugs at

the most secret and sensitive part

of my callow body, my God!

Why does the way you move

excite me so loathsomely -

To set my prime of life astir

He stands unconscious himself of his

magnificent power to interfere with my

innocence, with a benevolence that is

ready to offer everything to and for him.

I know it is nothing but madness to

mature these degrading and dangerous desires,

but it gives me such a strange thrill to do so

Forty-two years later, I come to light

as if I was kept away, to forestall

this horrible and ridiculous despair

weighing on my adulterated soul like a heavy death.

Without a praise from the lord above

perhaps my discovery of you

could be a fatal consequence

but if you’re to be the death of me,

I’m okay with that.
