For best actress
I play a role every day
I play it so well
That even my family is convinced
I put on a mask
To hide my tear stained cheeks
I drape a cloak over my body
To hide my insecurities
I go throughout my day
No one knows what's beyond the disguise
If they did
They would all be afraid
The clawing at my throat
I can taste the bitterness of pain
From everything I hold inside
Behind the character
That I have created
