My Head
People told me to try meditation,
So I did without hesitation.
Too much running through my head,
It makes me want to stay in bed.
Sometimes I write letters,
To make myself feel better.
It’s hard putting emotions into words,
So mine aren’t typically heard.
Sometimes I get writer’s block,
So I just stare at the clock.
I wait for ideas to flow,
“On your mark, get set, go.”
Words can be hard to speak,
Especially if they’re bleak.
I try not to say some,
Because they have negative outcomes.

I wrote this poem based on me, myself, and I. It describes how I feel when I write some of my more stressful poetic pieces. I try to write a few times a week, but some of my pieces need more than a few days of attention. This short poem took e a little bit to write because I originally didn't know what to write.
