voice
Your voice was like nails on a chalk board
Sending shivers down my spine
Not even the good kind
When I hear it I want to run and hide
Like a child playing hide and seek
Except I’m hiding from you
His voice is different
It’s comforting and warm
He makes me feel safe and loved unlike you
He protects me from you but he doesn’t know that
Yours makes me want to hide but his makes me want to be found
