The Ultimate Sunset
Seeing the sunset atop the mountains
In an unfamiliar place, yet a familiar sun.
What looks like a yellow dot becomes a massive sun.
As the trees sway in the breeze and the sun rises above the mountains,
I lie with my family facing awaiting the sun during an early morning.
A perfect cabin in the woods to watch the early sun.
Its red, orange and yellow rays glow,
Its burning look across the pavement and the roof,
Reminding me of life with light from the sun.
The sun never sleeps; it only stays awake.
It lifts it lowers, on top and below the clouds,
Burning my skin below the sunshine
As I long for more sleep, the sun is just beginning its day.
Giving beauty and light to all people in the whole world,
Unfamiliar and different places and people, yet we all see the same sun.
