stardust
she is my sunrise.
she is the songs that wildflowers sing to a painter
to inspire a portrait
she moves with the fluidity of swaying sea-grass
on an ocean floor
at night her hands trace my hips
and draw me into
her rosebud mouth reciting poems i have never heard of
thoughts i could never even conceive
our bed is a podium for discussions
of anything from secrets of the universe
to the radio programme she heard on her drive home
we are inseparable beings
made of sea foam
and wildflowers
and stardust.

This is a poem i wrote for a narrative driven poetry book about the connections between people and the way it affects our lives. It is about a person I consider my best friend.
