A toddler is sleeping in, as usual.

Reluctantly leaving, the air shortens

as the young boy walks home.

              The roller coaster starts in his belly as he turns the doorknob

          Three couches

        his parents sitting together on one.

She’s gone.

 A young man rushes upstairs to his sisters room
