I Fear Society
Sometimes I cry.
I cry for I am scared.
I fear the world in which I live.
I'm scared to walk alone.
I'm scared my momma won't make it home.
I'm scared of death.
And I'm scared one day I'll lose my breath.
People are dying.
There are families living in poverty.
Mothers are mourning for their lost angels.
And children are crying.
So I cry, for I fear the future.
I fear society.
I cry, cry, cry.
I cry rivers, I cry oceans.
But it's ok,
because it's ok to cry.
But it's not ok for the world to
continue the way it is.
We need to change.
We need to give, not take.
We need to love, not hate.
We need to change.
