Him
In the beginning, I was alone.
In search of a best friend to smile with.
You arrived with a big heart
and open arms.
You walked me to the edge of the house
just to show me a rolie polie in the ground.
After every tear drop, you taught me how to smile.
Downstairs, you took me to the doors
that were to never open.
You told me that it’s just the beginning.
The doors of trust were opened
Which led me down a pathway
of everlasting happiness.
Thank you.
Thank you for always being there
in my grays.
For bringing out my true
identity and for being my
post to rest on.
You promised to be my shade
I promised to be yours
Forever and always,
you are a blessing.
