Everlasting Contentment
Weeks like this
are rare,
like finding a diamond
in the sand.
Weeks where
no matter how hard I try,
there’s nothing bad
I can think of,
nothing to bring me down.
I can enjoy the warm colors
of the leaves
falling slowly from the trees
and take in the smell
of coffee and eggs
in the morning.
I can sit in pure bliss
listening to the laughter
of my friends
and fully appreciate
their unwavering love.
I can savor
the beautiful music
I have the privilege
of making every day
with people who
make me happy.
I hope for more
weeks like this,
and I hope
that one day,
this will be
every day.
