Bedroom
Grandma always said
“A clean room makes for a clear mind.”
So I guess it makes sense my thoughts are crumpled in the corner
rather than folded and put away.
I guess it makes sense I can’t get straight to the point without
stepping carefully around cluttered commodities.
It makes sense that when I think I’ve got it sorted,
I think that it’s neat and tidy,
Or that it’s clean and clear,
I’ll step back
and see I’ve only made a path
from my door to my bed.

I have always had a messy room, I have also, never been able to think clearly. My grandma thinks that these two things are somehow connected. So I wanna thank my grandma, for being the inspiration of this poem.
