My Home
My toes sifting through soft white powder
The old familiar smell of salt in the air
Looking into the vast horizon
Past the mermaid city
The ocean is infinite
The waves
Kissing the tips of my toes
My board underneath me
I can feel the roughness of the sand
Mixed with the melted wax
Waiting for the perfect swell
I try to catch it
But it catches me
The wind blowing through my hair
As I ride it until it can no longer hold me adrift
I lay myself in the white powder
It sticks to every inch of me
I stare into the sky
The sun is setting over the mermaid city
Glowing as bright as New York

Since I was born, I've been brought up around the ocean, and it has become my biggest passion. I surf when I can and fish when I have the time. I love spending time by the ocean, and it makes me the happiest person in the world. I plan to major in marine biology so I can help the ocean as much as possible.
