golden
She is insecure.
About her face
About her body
What she says
And how she says it.
She goes through life
Pleasing whomever she can
So she can know that
She is doing something right.
But why?
Why put on a mask?
Why should she care
Weather she fits the “standards”
Of this unforgiving world?
Because everyone
Every single person
Every single incredibly valuable person
is made
For a specific purpose.
She is the way she is
For a reason.
For a specific reason.
For an important reason.
So she will not be ashamed
Of who she is
For she knows who she will become.
Because she is
100% sure
that this diamond of a girl
will be golden.

This piece is about being proud of who you are and who you are becoming. I got the inspiration for this poem when I was told that I wasn't good enough. From this piece, I hope that people will get that they are valuable and truely golden.
