Glasses MAG
I just recently became conscious of the world we live in.
My mom tells me it’s because I just recently began to mature.
That makes sense.
I don’t know how it happened,
the science of the human mind is beyond
my knowledge.
I imagine it’s like putting on a pair of glasses for the first time.
The naivety of childhood being cleared away,
like windshield wipers clearing the rain
off a car window.
That’s how it felt for me, at least.
When I was younger,
I didn’t even realize that my vision
was blurred.
I, as we all were, was ambivalent.
However, when those glasses came to rest
on my face,
everything opened up.
The glass became the windows to a new place in life.
A new world, a new way of looking at things.
I like it, I’m excited for my next pair.
