System
System
A fault in society
When people down on the poor
When one mistake can ruin your life
They promise false hopes; dreams
Then lock you away in a place like hell
They destroy you mentally
Power you down as if you’re a robot
Just put your phone down and see
That your life is a plan a plan to fail
They don’t want brains they want machines
So go to school and sit in rows
and listen for when I tell you to speak
And if you speak the truth I’ll kick you out of class
and when you get behind I’ll fail you
So sit in rows listening to my lies
and don’t be willing to speak out
and to speak some truth again
Be in fear of the fact that I determine fate
so you listen to history that’s not yours
you learn things that you’ll never apply
When you raise your hand to be granted a chance to speak
You ask them:
“What’s the point of this lesson, what is it going to do for me?”
They tell you:
“Sit back and be quiet and don’t you question me!”
Then you go out in public and they make you hate yourself
Always hoping that you will never find yourself
You get pulled over by a cop just because “You look yourself”
Reach for your registration
Now you could be lying dead with 7 warning shots in the chest
So you go with the system because that’s probably what’s best to do
Not questioning life and all the decisions around you
Now you’re brainwashed by the system
Knowing in the back of your mind it was never meant for you
