Our Final Years
We started as freshman. “fresh meat.” overwhelmed with the amount of homework, people, classes, stairs and crushes, our 15 year old naive hearts didn’t know what the next 4 years would hold.
4 more years.
We continued as sophomores, 16 and thinking we’re grown. Getting a car or our license was the “cool” thing to do that year. Driving around in our 10 year old, barely working car, making fun of the freshman for riding the bus like that wasn’t us just 4 months ago.
3 more years.
We transitioned to upperclassmen. Junior year. The worst year of most of our lives. We start to think about our first prom and how we only have one year left with all the people we grew up with. we decide what we want to be doing for the rest of our life. “big girl” life is scary.
2 more years.
We finally made it to senior year. Senioritis kicks in making you not care what you look like. You experience your last homecoming, coronation, and prom. You start getting accepted into your dream schools. you’re scared. nervous. excited. happy. anxious to leave. it all came to an end in a blink of an eye.
it’s all over.
