Wildfire
I loved you
The type of love that consumes your whole body
I craved your touch
Your smile
Your attention
But the reality is
Your perspective was different
This love story I painted was smeared from your goodbye
Ruined
Burned to the ground
The roaring flames engulfing my heart
The sad part is you don’t even care
Your life moved on as if nothing had happened
As if I was erased from every moment
Nonexistent to you
But I am still here
Sneaking glances whenever you pass
While the wildfire in my body grows

This piece is about a personal breakup I went through about two years ago. It displays the heart wrenching emotions anyone endures internally when loving someone more than they love you.
