The Venture for Wealth
Since the beginning of human civilization
We have been obsessed with gaining wealth,
To be the one that is better prepared to have more.
This obsession has spawned many fantastic tales
From King Midas and his glistening touch,
To the Aztecs and their city of gold,
These tales have in turn inspired many to venture forth
And find extraordinary wealth for themselves.
Like the fearsome pirates sailing the sea and plundering the innocent,
Or the thousands of miners who set their sights for
California to mine gold and increase their own wealth.
Life is a grand adventure to be had.
To find treasure
Even if it only adds a small amount to a depleting bank account.
So many, trying their best to find a wealth
Competing against many who share their goals
No matter if they are friends or strangers
As long as we find this treasure first
And achieve a comfort long forgotten
Yet so close to finding comfort like the softest bed.
So go you businessmen, you CEOs,
You entrepreneurs,
Go acquire your wealth, just remember
You are not alone.
There's always someone to cut your adventure short
To claim your prize as their own.
Your greed will consume you.
